My first time in the office

I have two kinds of feelings as I stepped into this corporate office. One is the kind of familiar yet one that I have not felt for almost eight years. The moment you step into the office, you can almost feel the pressure that's gonna be with you for the rest of the day until you call it a day. And knowing that someone very close and important to you will be waiting for you at home.  I have long abandoned that feeling, thank goodness for that! Another one is a nicer feeling. Hey, I'm the wife of a senior personnel in this office.  But, thankfully I don't have to greet anyone so as not to conceal my slight anxiety. It's a non-working day. After all, this is my first time stepping into his office.  Well, the feeling that no one is calling the shot, except for him, as his wife, I do have this pride that beams in me. Needless to say, I took the opportunity to scan through some stuff in his office. A quick one, else I would be 'accused' of prying on his privacy. ...

I am going to school!

I have got to share this.  This is a special day to me. It was very early in the morning when I got the news! I can finally get to go to a university, to do a Master degree!!!!  Another dream come true and another milestone! It's gonna be a rough road to tread from now on.  But, it'll pay off. I'm not sure if I ever will find the time to blog anymore.  Already this post is after the absence of a few years.

Clear blue sky

Here's something I penned to celebrate the coming of the blue blue sky....really, it's a view to be cherished before it disappears from our life. For some of you in countries which are blessed with blue sky, we, in Malaysia, are not so fortunate. It's an annual affair where we have to put up with a stubborn layer of haze enveloping most parts of Asian countries.  I hope it's the end of the haze season.  Let's cherish while we can.

Flowers for me

A flower can make me smile. .. It's the first time I bought myself flowers. Perhaps, buying things I'd love to receive as a gift may brighten my life a little. RM12 for a stalk of stargazer (something I just learned from the florist) is nothing compared to the smile I feel beaming from my face. The florist seemed to have given me a little new hope, for the day, I hope it's not just for the day. The stargazers seemed to have given me something to look forward to. It's the hope to see them bloom. Hope is important especially when you pretty sure know there's something nice in store.

Imitation power bank

An imitation  Not very familiar with what an original Yoobao power bank packaging looks like, I went ahead to buy this. I have browsed through various brands,  original and non-original. After buying an imitation online, of course not knowing that it's an imitation one, I thought I became wiser. Yoobao is a reliable and popular brand,  so I was told. I was shown the packaging of an original Yoobao and was informed how to look out for original product.  Yet, when I stumbled into such power bank in a shop in Leisure Mall, I thought I was getting a good bargain for a genuine product.  After a visit to Low Yat today,  I knew I was taken in for a ride.  Upon browsing through some original Yoobao power banks,  I notice something was amiss. My power bank was nowhere to be seen on the rack. I don't see any of those packaging having any similarity with the packaging of the so-called original one I have. My suspicion was going to be prove...

Successful in her own way

This news came as quite a shock yesterday, from my sister. A female member of her church passed away after a six-year battle with cancer.  I got to know of her cancer a few years ago and was under the impression that she had survived the disease.   Out of curiosity, I went on to read her blog.  I knew the existence of her blog for quite a while but never bother to read it. Aren't humans like that? They only bother to learn or appreciate a person when he or she is no longer in this world.  I am no different.  I decided to read her blog to find out how she struggled against this silent killer. But, strangely, I was led to read page by page of her story.  Her family members have their own blogs too. I believe the writing genes runs in the family.  Her 'success' in raising outstanding kids intrigues me.  Perhaps, you may enjoy it too, Lion City Girl .

My first online purchase

My order delivered by Skynet It didn't come in a box Taa..daa..my handbag After a one month-and-five-day wait, I finally received my order. The entire ordering process was rather smooth.  After making payment online (either via fpx or credit card), a confirmation of order will be received via email.  The expected delivery date will be advised even before the order is placed.   It came via the courier which took another 3 days upon advice that the item was delivered. If only my handbag comes in a box.  What if the bag gets crushed in the process of delivery and what I receive is an imperfect bag?  Anyway, this one here is a perfect one! After talking so long, I bought this from Groupon.  One word of caution! Don't just rely on the image or photos in the email.  Check the dimension of the item you wish to purchase.  I thought that this bag is bigger. I never wanted a small bag like this.  Anyway, it was my fault for not ...
