I've done it!

Yes!!! I am in it NOW!



It has been six plus months now and I have no regrets. I am glad I can jubilate. I am glad I took the step.



It was unhappiness. I was restless.

I doubt.

I dream. I visualise.

I ponder.

I evaluate but with a lot of heart

I took the step, I'm glad I did.

My ambition was to be an accountant

From the first year I reached secondary school until I graduated, being an accountant had always been my first choice ambition.  It was only on my final year in Secondary 5 that my first choice had changed to being a 'Manageress'.  Somehow, as a child, an accountant gave me the impression of being a very highly-respectable profession.  Not only that, one can only call herself an accountant after passing all the necessary examinations.  She can't call herself one just because she holds the title of 'accountant'.  Having knowledge of this respectable profession or rather occupation, as what I knew last time, and the fact that not anyone can be an accountant, I told myself that that would be my choice.  How about doctors and lawyers? What were your ambitions when you were young?

We used to write down our ambitions on school cards we needed to submit at the end of the year.  I can remember vividly my early dream was to be a Hotel Administrator or a Hotel Manager.  Being quite a perfectionist (I realise my perfectionism is only in certain aspects of my life), I chose to write Manageress instead of Manager. At one point, I even aspire to be an urban planner. How ambitious was I! I wanted to 'rule' then. I wanted to decide what should there be in a city, how to manage the city. But, my dream was shortlived. I couldn't recall what was the reasons for giving this up. The following year, I kept to my real profession 'Accountant' as my ambition. Being a secretary and a teacher were my last two choices.  For the former, it was due to the influence of my sisters who were all in this field. My first time in the office

I have two kinds of feelings as I stepped into this corporate office. One is the kind of familiar yet one that I have not felt for almost eight years. The moment you step into the office, you can almost feel the pressure that's gonna be with you for the rest of the day until you call it a day. And knowing that someone very close and important to you will be waiting for you at home.  I have long abandoned that feeling, thank goodness for that! Another one is a nicer feeling. Hey, I'm the wife of a senior personnel in this office.  But, thankfully I don't have to greet anyone so as not to conceal my slight anxiety. It's a non-working day. After all,this is my first time stepping into his office.  Well, the feeling that no one is calling the shot, except for him, as his wife, I do have this pride that beams in me.
